Organic Acids part 9: Oxidative Damage and Antioxidant Markers

Jeff Moss, DDS, CCN, DACBN

Dr. Jeff Moss from Moss Nutrition teaches the 9th training webinar in his series of trainings on "The Organic Acids Test ".The title of this session is "Organic Acids: Oxidative Damage and Antioxidant Markers".

Here's what Dr. Moss has to say about this training:

"It is often assumed that all chronically ill patients are under high oxidant stress and depleted of antioxidants.  Is this true?  Organic acids help us answer this question.  Of course, others suggest that there is no need to answer this question since supplementation of antioxidants “can only help and can't hurt.”  Research will be presented that makes it clear that too many antioxidants “can hurt.”  In turn, organic acids testing can be very helpful for precisely determining the presence of oxidative and a true need for supplemental antioxidants."

In the course of this training Dr. Moss covers the Organix Profile, a complete quantitative organic acids test from Metametrix Laboratory. “The Organix Profile provides a view into the body's cellular metabolic processes and the efficiency of metabolic function. Identifying metabolic blocks or problems with detoxification, gut dysbiosis, or oxidative stress that can be treated nutritionally allows for individual tailoring of interventions. Targeted treatment can help maximize patient responses and lead to improved patient outcomes.” Metametrix.com
