Organic Acids part 11: Toxicants and Detoxification - Diagnosing Defects in Sulfur Metabolism

Jeff Moss, DDS, CCN, DACBN

Dr. Jeff Moss from Moss Nutrition teaches the 11th training webinar in his series of trainings on "The Organic Acids Test". The title of this webinar is "Organic Acids: Toxicants and Detoxification - Diagnosing defects in sulfur metabolism."

The title of this webinar is "Organic Acids: Toxicants and Detoxification - Diagnosing defects in sulfur metabolism."

It is often assumed that all chronically ill patients are “toxic” and need to be “detoxified” via phase I/II optimization. Is this true? While organic acids testing does not reveal the actual presence of chemical or metal toxins, it does provide precise information about the body's ability to efficiently and safely metabolize and excrete these toxins. This presentation will show how organic acids testing can be used to take the guesswork out of deciding how to optimize phase I and II pathways via lifestyle changes and supplementation.

This session will show how defects in sulfur metabolism can be diagnosed via organic acids testing. In addition, therapeutic recommendations that relate to the different findings on the organic acids test will be discussed.

In the course of this training Dr. Moss will be covering the Organix Profile, a complete quantitative organic acids test from Metametrix Laboratory. “The Organix Profile provides a view into the body's cellular metabolic processes and the efficiency of metabolic function. Identifying metabolic blocks or problems with detoxification, gut dysbiosis, or oxidative stress that can be treated nutritionally allows for individual tailoring of interventions. Targeted treatment can help maximize patient responses and lead to improved patient outcomes.” Metametrix.com
